About Elizabeth Rabena, Aesthetician Specialist
I have been an esthetician for almost 10 years now. Prior to entering the beauty industry, I was pursuing a career as an elementary school teacher. While studying, I had my 1st child and my husband’s job relocated us outside of San Diego. We decided it would be best for my newborn for me to be a Stay-at-Home Mom. Fast forward to 7 years later, now having 2 children – both in school and not needing me as much. I had time to explore what I wanted to do for myself, in terms of a career. After taking a trial esthetics class at Bellus Academy in Poway (and nearly crying tears of joy after learning facial massage techniques and their benefits), I knew I wanted to study skin. I was luckily employed at a luxurious day spa in the Gaslamp Quarter of Downtown, San Diego immediately after receiving my Esthetician License. It was there that I was introduced to the world-renowned DMK Enzyme Therapy Program. Not being permitted by the spa to utilize all the beneficial treatments I was taught at DMK educational classes. I decided to branch out on my own, starting Moxie Skincare as a DMK Paramedical Skin Therapist.
