About Edward K. Brown, DDS

Brown Prosthodontics delivers cutting edge patient care and convenience, by combining a unique set of clinical skills, training and technological expertise all within a warm and welcoming environment. Edward K. Brown Jr. DDS, D.Med.Sc is a graduate of Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston where he completed a 6 year Post-Doctoral Fellowship and a Doctorate of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology. He received his specialty training in the area of prosthodontics with a focus on Implants, crowns, bridges, dentures and TMJ disease. Dr. Brown’s multi-specialty practice is nestled in the Chevy Chase neighborhood of upper northwest Washington, D.C., two blocks south of Chevy Chase Circle and a 4 block walk from the Mazza Gallery and the Friendship Heights Metro station. Brown Prosthodontics serves a highly diverse community. Dr. Brown and his staff speak Spanish, Portuguese and French. Dr. Brown’s extensive training has afforded him the ability to provide a high level of skill in both basic and complex procedures. He takes great pride in making his patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their dental procedures with his chair side manner. The clinicians at Brown Prosthodontics perform general dentistry procedures including natural tooth color fillings, crowns, deep cleanings, root canals, extractions, Invisalign orthodontics as well as more specialized and complex treatment regiments. Dr. Brown also sees children of all ages. Dr. Edward K. Brown Jr. received his BA in Biology from La Salle University then continued on to the Howard University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Additionally, he completed an advanced education(specialty) program in Prosthodontics and received a Doctorate of Medical Sciences in Oral biology at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation from Howard University College of Dentistry Dr. Brown received the prestigious Scholars in Research award. During his time at Harvard for his dissertation he developed the first complete denture application (Interactive Complete Denture Syllabus iCDS) tailored for both dentists and dental students, focusing on the theory and fabrication of complete dentures.
