About Dirk A. Newman, DDS
Dr. Dirk Anthony Newman graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003. He relocated his practice to Tucson in 2014, after gaining over a decade of experience providing comprehensive dental health services. An alumni of the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida, Dr. Newman is part of the 5% of all dentists who are Fellows of the Academy of General Dentistry in 2015, after completing more than 500 hours of Continuing Education and passing the Academy’s written exam. Dr Newman is now pursing his Mastership in the Academy, which only 1% of all dentists have completed. Dr Newman is also an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and participates in many local dental study clubs in his pursuit of exceptional dentistry. While Dr. Newman has impressive experience in complex restorative cases, his passion lies in helping families achieve excellent dental health, and strong, beautiful smiles for life. His compassion for his patients is evident in his demeanor, and his personable, easygoing nature helps him relate to nearly everyone on a personal level. In his free time, Dr. Newman enjoys contributing to his local community by supporting children in scouting, sports, and music, and donating to mission groups, local food banks, and homeless shelters. At home, Dr. Newman enjoys spending time with his wife, Melissa; twins, Jack and Claire; their youngest son, Luke; and their cats, Chloe and Sawyer. In addition to cooking, golfing, exercising, and traveling, Dr. Newman’s favorite pastime is being involved in his children’s activities.
