About Diane M. Ghinelli, DMD
Dr. Mears was raised in Livingston, New Jersey and graduated high school from Mt. St. Dominics Academy. She was inspired into the field of dentistry by her uncle who is an General Dentist in Alaska. She attended University of Pennsylvania where she received her undergraduate degree in Dental Hygiene. In 1990, Dr. Mears received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she received numerous Honors and Awards. She also served as class secretary and on various dental committees at FDU. She completed her one year residency at Bergen Regional Medical Center. Dr. Mears achieved her goal of diversified professional experience by working in several dental offices specializing in a variety of dental treatment fields while completing hundreds of hours of post graduate dental studies in the fields of: Periodontal, Prosthetics, Endondontics, Dental Lasers, Pedodontics & Micro-abrasion, Mandibular Orthodontics, Oral Health & Aging, Medical Emergencies, etc. She joined membership in numerous dental associations including: American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Bergen County Dental Association, Advanced General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and American Academy of Cosmetic Orthodontics. In 1994, she was excited to join the quality dental practice of Drs. Carmen and Michele Giuffre, where she shared a strong belief in high quality, comprehensive dental treatment. in a friendly team-driven environment that meets patient budgetary constraints. In 1998, Dr. Jeffrey Powell joined them and now owns the practice, a friendly, team-driven practice that meets all the needs of their patients. In 2011, Dr Mears achieved certification as an Invisalign provider in Orthodontics. She considers herself blessed to work in this dental practice where the entire staff teams-up to work like a close knit family providing the very best quality of dental care available. Outside the office she is also family oriented, raising three wonderful children. They all enjoy family activities, many valued friends, music, hiking, sports, and physical exercise.
