About Dhaval M. Patel, MD
Dr. Patel is an accomplished Double Board Certified Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon. He earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed a five-year general surgical residency at University of Illinois at Chicago and a two-year Plastic Surgery fellowship at prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Patel has coveted double board certification by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery in plastic surgery, respectively. Dr. Patel has contributed to numerous research articles and has been fortunate to work with several famous and outstanding plastic surgeons in the country and around the world. Dr. Patel is a firm believer in being at the forefront of the new therapies and techniques. He says, “My goal is to give you natural appearing results with state of the art techniques. I strive for perfection with emphasis on world class service, your safety and privacy.” He is a strong proponent of minimal anesthesia, fast recovery and minimally invasive procedures to obtain outstanding results. He has refined and often performs various cosmetic and reconstructive procedures that can be done with minimal anesthesia as well as minimal downtime. Dr. Patel is a native of a northwest suburb of Chicago, and has a significant network of family and friends in the greater Chicago area. He is active in community outreach programs, and routinely donates his time to local free clinics. Dr. Patel has taken part in several international mission trips throughout his young but well accomplished career. He has donated his time and skills toward educating other doctors as well as taking care of the indigents in countries such as Vietnam, Jamaica, and most recently in India. Dr. Patel has trained medical students, residents, and other physicians throughout his medical training years and his current practice. He has contributed to many medical publications and has lectured nationally and internationally to medical and lay groups about various aspects of plastic surgery. Dr. Patel is extremely proud of his family and his extended family, which includes his highly-trained office staff. He welcomes patients of all ages. His natural comfort with patients and families allows him to gain a better understanding of patient goals, and to mutually arrive at a treatment plan that provides the best outcome and patient satisfaction.
