About Devin A. Gapstur, DMD
Dr. Devin Gapstur is a native Floridian, as she was born in West Palm Beach and grew up in Stuart. She earned both her Bachelor of Science degree and Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida. She has been practicing in the Tampa Bay Area for the past several years. Dr. Gapstur is a member of various local and national organizations such as the Tampa Bay Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Pinellas County Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Gapstur has dedicated much of her life to community service and has been volunteering dental services to the Pinellas County dental clinic and Mission of Mercy events for the past several years. Throughout her time at the University of Florida, Dr. Gapstur was very involved in academic instruction, as she served as an assistant professor for a restorative course focused on crown and bridge restorations as well as a tutor of various undergraduate nutrition courses. She previously worked for the University of Florida’s Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Tacachale dental clinic, which specializes in providing dental services for patients with developmental disabilities, and due to this experience, she enjoys practicing family dentistry. Because of her past research, continuing education, and exposure, Dr. Gapstur has gained a plethora of knowledge about restorative-periodontal connections (relationship between dental restorations and gum tissue reactions). She has expertise in providing implant restorations through involvement in numerous courses and meetings, including Tampa Dental Study Club and Academy of Osseointegration meetings. Dr. Gapstur is also adept in surgical procedures, including tooth extraction and ridge preservation, and continues to provide comfortable surgical care to the patients of her practice. Dr. Gapstur is knowledgeable and experienced in the newest technologies arising in dentistry, including CAD/CAM and CEREC technologies (same day crowns). Dr. Gapstur is also certified to provide Invisalign® orthodontic treatment, which has enabled her patients to receive more conservative and thorough treatment.
