About David T. Yu, DDS
Dr. David Yu graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry Six-Year combined Bachelors of Science/DDS program in 1998. Upon graduation, Dr. Yu was accepted to the Advanced Education for General Dentistry (AEGD) program at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. This residency program provided him with advanced training in all aspects of dentistry, including oral surgery, geriatric care, pediatric care, and prosthodontics (dentures and bridges). In 1999, Dr. Yu was selected as Chief Resident of the AEGD program and was a clinical instructor for dental students. Dr. Yu is a native Houstonian. He has been practicing dentistry in Southwest Houston, Sharpstown, Bellaire, and Gulfton for 20 years. He enjoys serving the community where he grew up and lives. He gives presentations at local schools to teach children how to maintain good oral health and supports local charities, like JJWatt Foundation. Dr. Yu’s favorite aspect of dentistry is building long-lasting relationships with his patients. When Dr. Yu isn’t in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. Their favorite activities are going to the Houston Zoo, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and trying out new restaurants. Dr. Yu is passionate about physical fitness. He loves biking, weight training at 24hour Fitness, and running at Memorial Park.
