Dr. David J. Weinstock has the extensive education, training, and experience necessary to provide optimal results for any dental procedure. Dr. Weinstock received his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1987. Upon the completion of his dental training, Dr. Weinstock felt the desire and need to pursue advanced training in two of the specialty disciplines of Dentistry. He entered the perio-prosthesis program at the University of Pennsylvania. This specialty program combined the disciplines of periodontics (the science of the health and care of the gums) and prosthodontics (the science of the replacement of lost or missing teeth or tooth structures). This three-year training program provided Dr. Weinstock with the skill, knowledge, and expertise to solve and treat most dental problems. Since 1987, Dr. Weinstock has been an active faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1987 he served as a pre-clinical faculty member, in 1989 as a clinical faculty member, and in 1990 to present he served as a Clinical Professor and Clinical Group Leader. As a Primary Care Unit (PCU) Director, he is responsible for supervising dental care that his students provide for their clinical patients during clinical training.
