About David A. Tecosky, DMD

Dentistry is a profession which allows me to impact so many people in positive ways, both individually and on a larger, community basis. Keeping one’s oral health in good shape goes a long way towards preventing systemic health issues. Being a restorative general dentist allows me to have an immediate impact in my patients’ appearance, as well as their overall health and well-being. My passion is to serve patients in the best way possible in order to help them keep their teeth for a lifetime. I enjoy the creativity required to restore someone’s dentition to optimal function and aesthetics. Now, with over 35 years of experience, I have successfully fulfilled my need to help those in need by providing an essential health service and preventing illness and problems later in life. As an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, I received my Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 2001 as a testament to my commitment to continuing my education and achieving clinical excellence. I am also a member of the American Dental Association, served as the President of the Philadelphia County Dental Society in 2008, and served as the President of the Pennsylvania AGD in 1996. Since 2013, I have served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Restorative and Preventive Dentistry at University of Penn. SDM. Since 2017, I have served a group leader. A native of Philadelphia, I have enjoyed living, working, and raising my family in such a vibrant community. My wife, Barbara, and I have two daughters, Meryl and Sandra, and a Bichon Frise named Coco to keep us company at home. I enjoy exercising my creativity through ceramics and painting, and of course, through creating beautiful smiles in the office. An active Rotarian since 1999, I have raised money to help eradicate polio worldwide, and have contributed to many other community service projects over the years through my service with the Rotary Club.
