About David Sherberg, DMD
A resident of southern St. Petersburg, Dr. Sherberg, strives to provide exceptional dentistry that focuses on comprehensive care. That means he works to make his practice as much of a ""one-stop-shop"" as possible. He readily acknowledges that most of his patients would rather not be sitting in his dental chair, so he takes the time to get to know each one and then come up with a plan that solves their dental problems as easily and efficiently as possible. Dr. Sherberg founded Bayway Dental in 2014 to fulfill his dream of bringing excellent customer service with a personal touch to dentistry. He hopes to help patients realize that a dental visit can be a pleasant, comfortable experience. Each patient is given plenty of time with him to answer any questions. Dr. Sherberg is never in a hurry, and his goal is to make your visit as relaxing as possible. Dr. Sherberg is a proud father of two energetic young boys. When he is not playing with his boys, he enjoys watching football (go Pats!) and intense beach relaxation. He feels fortunate to live next to some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Maybe someday soon he will pick up a fishing pole and see what the buzz is all about. For now, though, he’s content to buy his fish at the Bayway Country Store down the road. After graduating from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Sherberg opted to continue his education with an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Virginia Commonwealth University. He has received extensive dental implant continuing education, including the Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Dental Implant Certification at University of Florida, Same Day Teeth® certification, and membership in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. As a testament to his commitment to excellence in IV sedation dentistry, he is a certified DOCS Education member. He is committed to public service, as an oral surgery volunteer at Remote Area Medical in Florida. An avid researcher, Dr. Sherberg enjoys furthering his dental education and has received the highest distinction as a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). He lectures nationally to prestigious dental organizations and is a faculty member of the Phelps Institute.
