About David L. Kitchen, DDS
David L. Kitchen, D.D.S. was raised in Southern California and attended San Diego State University (SDSU) for his undergraduate studies and the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) for his dental degree. He has been practicing general dentistry in the La Jolla area since 1986. Though proficient in all areas of general dentistry, he maintains a special interest in the area of Esthetic (Cosmetic) Dentistry, which involves creating a natural and visually pleasing effect using the latest restorative materials and procedures to restore or enhance the teeth and smile. Dr. Kitchen is married with two grown daughters, the oldest of which recently produced his first Grandson. When not in the office, Dr. Kitchen trains in Soo Bahk Do (traditional Korean martial art); has attained the level of 5th Dan (equivalent to 5th degree black belt in other martial arts styles) and has earned his Master Instructor certificate (Sa Bom). He enjoys the ocean, gardening, loves to cook and is a wine connoisseur.
