He subsequently completed a full five-year residency in general surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, where he trained under renowned surgeons, including Dr. Michael DeBakey. Finally, Dr. Altamira completed a full three-year residency training in plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.
