About Danny T. Kewson, MD

Dr Kewson completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and his internship in General Surgery at Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center. He received his Medical Doctor degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine having completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has furthered his education to Fellowship status of the American Board of Otolaryngic Allergy (FAAOA). Dr Kewson has been practicing in Southeast Michigan since 2004 and is founding partner of Southeast Michigan Ear Nose and Throat. He has published numerous research papers in the area of his specialty, and has received multiple awards for his research and clinical training. His training included time at Harper Hospital, William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, the Karmanos Cancer Institute and the Detroit Receiving Hospital offering high level tertiary care in all aspects of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Kewson’s practice covers the full realm of adult and pediatric ear nose and throat disorders including food and inhalant allergy, chronic sinusitis, recurring ear infections, chronic adenoid and tonsil disease, snoring, sleep apnea, hearing loss, voice and swallowing disorders, vertigo and dizziness. He has extensive experience with both adult and pediatric head and neck tumors including those of the salivary, thyroid, and parathyroid glands, as well as all types of cancers of the head and neck. He has also received additional training in both computer assisted sinus surgery and balloon sinuplasty for complicated and/ or recurrent sinus disease. Dr Kewson also has expertise in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery including skin cancers, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, as well as hair transplantation using the Neograft Hair Restoration system, one of the most advanced techniques able to be offered to both male and female patients with excellent success rates, little downtime, shorter procedures and no visible scars. As a board certified Head and Neck surgeon with many years of experience, Dr Kewson is in a ideal position to ensure the best possible outcomes for all his patients regardless of their condition. Dr Kewson is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, the American Academy of Facial and Plastic Reconstructive surgery, and the Michigan Otolaryngologic Society.
