About Daniel P. Zick, DDS
Since receiving his graduate training, Dr. Daniel Zick and his team have been delivering compassionate precision dental care to the Greater Lansing area. Dr Zick, a native of East Lansing Michigan, born, and raised. A 1977 East Lansing High School Grad. He graduated in 1981 from Michigan State University with a BS in Human Physiology. He then attended University of Michigan Dental School graduating in 1985 earning his DDS. He is a member of the American Dental Association, He has been a long term student at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study and is passionate about the health and stability of the TMJ ( jaw joint). He has hundreds of hours of CE in studying the relationship and biomechanics of the teeth, muscles, and jaw joint. He learned that if the teeth are placed in the correct position, with the right contours, the forces on them can be minimal, giving much longer lasting, and more comfortable restorations. Dr. Zick’s dentistry extends far beyond making beautiful smiles. Combining the functional as well as the aesthetic, he provides each and every patient with dental care that will improve the quality of their life. Dr. Zick has a teacher’s heart. He enjoys teaching dental students and team members. Often times resolving complex dental issues may require a team of professionals. Dr. Zick will combine his skills and expertise with an outstanding group of Doctors who specialize in their field. He is considered by many collegues a excellent health-care quarterback. In collaboration with these doctors you will receive optimal oral health and the personalized care that you deserve to achieve your health goals. His practice includes Preventive, Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry for the whole family, including TMJ Therapy, and Dental Implant supported restorative procedures, even some orthodontics, and endodontics. His predecessor Dr. Heeke , was able to teach him and his team the skills and compassion needed to care for patients apprehensive of dental procedures. His family includes wife Jan and two children Danielle ( 1993) and Taylor (1995). Outside of dentistry Dr. Zick enjoys water and snow sports, golf, biking, boating, fishing, pickleball, platform tennis and spending time with friends and family. In short his passion is to solve simple to very complex dental problems that work with his patient goals and needs.
