About Daniel P. Slaughter, MD
Dr. Daniel Slaughter earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. He entered medical school at the age of 19, as the youngest student in the prestigious school’s history. He served as freshman class student president and graduated with honors as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He continued his training with a five-year residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX. This intensive training encompassed all aspects of ear, nose, and throat, head and neck surgery, and facial plastic surgical care. Dr. Slaughter is Board Certified in Otolaryngology and Sleep Medicine, by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He has been in practice for more than 20 years in Austin, TX. Dr. Slaughter has been actively involved in the development of leading edge technologies in Otolaryngology. He was integral in the development and FDA approval of balloon sinuplasty technology, and serves as a Center of Excellence for Entellus Medical, providing mentoring of Otolaryngologists nation-wide in balloon sinuplasty. Active in various professional organizations, Dr. Daniel Slaughter is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society, and the Austin Society of Otolaryngology.
