Dr. Chris Bowman has been studying and practicing dental care for awhile now, and he has discovered something interesting. The foundation of successful family dentistry isn’t protocol or procedure. At the very core of a healthy mouth is a relationship of trust and respect between patient and dentist. We’d like to take a few moments to show you how he has built that relationship with his patients. Charlotte dentist Dr. Chris Bowman is a 1990 graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. His educational background in dentistry started with a degree from UNC’s School of Dentistry in 1994, but it certainly didn’t end there. His commitment to providing the best dental care to the Charlotte area led him to train under some of the best educational leaders, learning techniques like sedation, periodontal disease therapy, and snoring/sleep apnea treatment, not found in most general dentistry practices. Charlotte dentist Dr. Chris Bowman maintains membership with a number of dental associations and takes many hours of continuing education each year to stay abreast of this fast-changing profession. All the book learning in the world can’t take the place of hands-on clinical experience. Throughout his training and career, Charlotte dentist Dr. Chris Bowman embraced opportunities to handle real life dental situations. That’s allowed him to understand how dentistry impacts so many important aspects of patients’ lives. Charlotte dentist Dr. Chris Bowman has found that teaching helped him gain additional experience. He served in several post-graduate teaching positions, and continues on that path as a clinical instructor for Six Month Smiles, a clear braces system. Every patient’s situation is different. He enjoys sharing technical knowledge in a down-to-earth, understandable manner. Charlotte dentist Dr. Chris Bowman grew up in Asheville and has lived in Charlotte with my family since 1994. We might run into one another on a golf course, a soccer field, or at church. This unity with the community gives me a great deal of respect for the wonderful people of Charlotte. His patients are his friends and neighbors – his extended family. He feels he couldn’t face his reflection in the mirror if he didn’t give you his best every day, fairly, honestly, and compassionately.
