About Christina Kasnoff, Aesthetician Specialist

I started my career in 1986 with a 3 year apprenticeship in advance pre and post medical skincare as well as chemical peeling for skin rejuvenation, and have a degree from the Pacific institute of Aromatherapy as well as a certification in Homeopathy. I specialize in the most difficult skin conditions such as acne, pigmentation, scarring and melasma, and use a combination of Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion, Ultrasound, and Chemical techniques to restructure and transform the skin’s surface. I believe in the ‘less is more’ approach, and teach my clients that rather than trying every new product ingredient that's trending, focus on individual skin concerns (like pigmentation from UV damage, aging/wrinkles, and oil production).I come from a long line of nurses. My mother was a nurse, my aunt was a nurse, my grandmother was a nurse; you get the picture. I have fond memories of going to work with my mother on holidays, visiting the elderly patients, and readying them for visitors by picking lipsticks and rouge to help them look and feel their best. I was transfixed. So when I told my mother I wanted to be a nurse, she sent me to beauty school. Logical step, I know. From the beginning of my career as a young aesthetician, I was determined to create my own products; ones that were beautiful both on the inside and out. In the late 1980’s, I met and worked with Benefit co-owners, Jean and Jane Ford at their original “The Face Place”, where I became their lead aesthetician. When I expressed my interest in creating skincare products, I was fortunate enough for them to send me to the Aromatherapy and Essential Oils for Skincare program at the Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy in San Rafael, CA. During the next year, I assisted in the creation of their four skincare blends sold in their stores (on Kearny, Chestnut, and Fillmore St. in San Francisco). Needless to say, I was hooked and studied everything I could get my hands on about skin physiology, cosmetics chemistry, and home cosmetics making.
