About Cece Nunez, Tattoo Specialist
Started off my career joining Vocational Industrial Clubs of America in High School, 1997-2000 where I competed in the Cosmetology division. My first year competing, I received 1st place, for regionals, then I competed again representing my state, where I again placed in 1st. Had the amazing opportunity to compete in Nationals which took place in Kansas City, MI, I placed in 4th, by less than 1 point from 1st place out of 47 competitors, nation-wide. I was recognized by Hillsborough County Officials on National TV for representing the state of Florida and all of the victories won through VICA. Shortly after completing my courses, I was offered a promising job in a large corporation, were I started extensive education with Matrix Color CRAFT Series and Toni & Guy Cutting Styling courses. Throughout 5 years, I was under serious preparation for my next venture, which involved becoming an independent contractor and pursuing my dreams of educating and being an editorial stylist and make-up artist. I was contacted by a friend who, at the time worked as a make-up artist for Good Morning America in NYC, her friend was the Salon Manager at Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon in NYC, right on 5th Ave. Together they asked me fulfill a position there, I gladly accepted. I gained tremendous respect for the concrete jungle and the high demands of a fast-pace, high-strung clientele. It helped me build even more character for what was to come. Several years later, I was asked by a colleague to join him as a Master Level Artist in his opening of a new upscale Salon In Citrus Park & in SoHo, where I was then introduced to Wella Color & Bumble & Bumble styling products. I became part of a group of Network Educators where I had an amazing opportunity to travel to NYC and be trained @ BBU (Bumble & Bumble University). Courses included: Color Workshop I & II, Styling Workshops, Razor Classes and Network Educating Training. I also became an Expert-level Color Specialist through training at The Wella Studio in Chicago, IL, where I learned modern, intricate color techniques and formulations. I started to do backstage work for local organization fundraisers, Larger Fashion Shows, Tampa Fashion Week, Miami Fashion Week and work with designers like Christian Dior and Karl Kani. I also started to do on-set work for major photo shoots through Model Mayhem & music videos for several renowned artist & celebrities. After 12 devoted years in Tampa, I decided It was time to take my journey to The Burg, where I came onboard a salon in downtown St Pete for 3 years, mainly drawn to their education, choice of styling products and color line. I served as a Level II Master Stylist & Make-up Artist before going solo at my new location, Salon Sardis in Salon Lofts. In 2015, Salon Sardis was born... I became a Microblading Certified Brow Artist in 2017 under the training of the world-renowned Microblading/Micropigmentation Artist, Bianca Davis of Lake Mary, Florida, who is herself ranked #5 in the Nation/#38 Worldwide of the Microblading Sisterhood Pro Artist Association. I am Board-certified and Insured. Completed Blood-borne Pathogen & Communicable Diseases Course & am compliant with all Department of Health Requirements. In 2019, I had the indelible opportunity to be part of Celebrity Artist Ted Gibson’s Team for New York Fashion Week, where I was delighted to style and work with names like Ex Mermaid, Exquisite Joy, Elier Aubret, Yvette Crocker and many more. As stated in the press release, Ted Gibson and his team hand-picked every artist specifically to be a part of this amazing contribution in helping fashion and hair dictate each other in the Spring/Summer 2020 NYFW.
