About Catherine Pointon, MD
Dr. Catherine Pointon graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in biochemistry. She graduated in 1990 from New York Medical College where she completed both residencies in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. She was board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1993 and the American Board of Dermatology in 1996. She became re-certified in Dermatology in 2006. Dr. Pointon is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Medical Association, North Carolina Dermatology Association and North Carolina Medical Society. She’s been in private practice since 1996 and has been practicing in Charlotte, NC since 1998. Dr. Pointon specializes in all aspects of general medical and pediatric dermatology. She’s also proficient in Spanish.
