About Caroline Menard, Aesthetician Specialist
In 1994 I graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Botany. Although I wanted to be a field botanist working with San Diego's coastal lagoons, competition for these jobs was fierce so I found myself using my degree working at a start up biotech company when biotech was booming in La Jolla in the 90's. After many years in the industry I decided it wasn't my passion and I should find another career but I had no clue what to do next. The best advice I was given at the time was to really think about what I loved to do when I was growing up. That didn't make sense to me at all? Gymnastics? Diving? Listening to music? Painting? What do I do with those and at this point in my life? Then it dawned on me! My mother had always impressed upon me the importance of taking care of my skin...to cleanse day and night, to always wear a hat in the sun, and moisturize moisturize moisturize! We would give each other facials and she always bought the best healthy skin care products at the health food stores. I realized how much I loved that time we shared together and how much I learned from her. I had always loved helping my friends figure out which skin care products to use and what a proper home regimen should look like. Back then no one even knew what an esthetician was but I understood how important it was to take care of your skin! Looking at my mother's skin today I understand it now more than ever. I hope to look as great as she does when I'm her age! I graduated from Palomar Institute of Cosmetology in 2001 and the rest is history! Since 2003 I have had my own practice and I love and take great pride in the work that I do. I look forward to meeting you, sharing my knowledge with you and providing you with the best possible service I can give.
