About Carlos O. Chacon, MD

Carlos O. Chacon, MD, MBA, was born in Tucson, Arizona and is a Pueblo High School Warrior, now a decade old and proud Californian. Dr. Chacon has captured several exceptional educational opportunities, earning his higher education for both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Arizona. During his extensive surgical training, Dr. Chacon served as Chief Resident of the University of California San Francisco Division of Plastic Surgery at the world-renowned UCSF Medical Center. UCSF has been continuously recognized as one of America’s top medical centers. Dr. Chacon is among the industry’s best-trained cosmetic plastic surgeons having completed an advanced fellowship training program in aesthetic surgery in Los Angeles, California at the University of Southern California. While attending the University of Arizona’s undergraduate degree program and College of Medicine, I knew that it was truly a privilege to have received my education. The hard work I invested into my training at the University of California, San Francisco and the University of Southern California has provided me with the unique opportunity to work and train with some of the most accomplished surgical minds, technicians, and artists of our time. I have come to the realization that not only I, but also my patients, have benefitted greatly from the knowledge and experience I gained from an exceptional education and training. Learning is a lifelong process, and every time I meet with a patient, I view it as a learning experience for both of us. I want my patients to understand as much as they can about the procedure so they can actually make an informed decision. Cosmetic plastic surgery is so much more than just having the procedure. With every patient, I want to know their understanding, motivations, fears, and specific goals for their procedure, as it relates to their everyday life and long-term plans. When a patient leaves my office after a consultation, they should feel armed with the knowledge they need to make a decision that is right for them. He has expanded expertise in complex revision surgery of the breast and body, combined surgical procedures, fat grafting, and whole body contouring. Dr. Carlos O. Chacon participated as a plastic surgeon for ABC’s new prime time hit, Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition. Overweight participants lose half their body weight through diet and exercise under the guidance of a trainer. After losing the weight, many of the participants choose to undergo plastic surgery to complete their Extreme Makeover with dramatic and medically necessary skin removal surgery. In each of the episodes, the participants undergo a transformation of not only their bodies, but of who they are as individuals. He is loved by his patients, admired by his team and adored by his family and friends. His many years of training in the martial arts has provided him the precision and focus to meet his objectives. Although he loves his work, in those rare times when he is not with patients, you can find him exploring the great outdoors with his family.
