About Brian C. Reuben, MD
Dr. Brian C. Reuben’s qualifications as a plastic surgeon go above and beyond even the highest requirements. He is a double board-certified plastic surgeon serving the Salt Lake City and Draper areas through his office in Midvale, UT. Dr. Reuben is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, having completed a 6-year general surgery residency at the University of Utah as part of his 9 years of training beyond medical school. Dr. Reuben is trained to be on the cutting edge of advancements in the art and science of plastic surgery. In addition to his classical medical and surgical training, he completed an additional 3 years of plastic surgery training at the prestigious University of Pittsburgh. The plastic surgery program is widely regarded as one of the best in the U.S. and throughout the world. Dr. Reuben was personally trained by top plastic surgeons in the fields of both reconstructive plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery. He was taught by Dr. J. Peter Rubin, a highly respected plastic surgeon who has published multiple books and journal articles on liposuction and body contouring after massive weight loss. In the area of breast reconstruction, Dr. Reuben was trained by the surgeon who developed the procedure that allows women to use their own skin to rebuild the breast after mastectomy. Dr. Reuben was also trained by one of the world’s leading experts in fat grafting and fat transferring in Mallorca, Spain. In addition to running his own practice in plastics and cosmetic surgery in Midvale, Dr. Rueben is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at LDS Hospital, a part of the esteemed Intermountain Health Care system.
