About Brett B. Bender, DO
Brett Bender is a board-certified dermatologist, originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, who graduated cum laude from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and continued with his medical education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing an internship year in Philadelphia, he completed residency training in family practice at St Luke’s in Allentown, PA and then a residency in dermatology through Michigan State University at Botsford and McLaren Hospitals. For 8 years, Dr. Bender practiced at Middlebelt Dermatology Center in Farmington Hills, MI as an associate dermatologist. He joined Clarkston Dermatology in 2016 and soon developed a partnership with his patients. Dr. Bender specializes in general and surgical dermatology with special interest in treating psoriasis and contact dermatitis. He remains active in academic medicine by serving as a trainer for dermatology residents through Michigan State and as an editorial board member for the Journal of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.
