About Belmina N. Michael, MD
Dr. Belmina N. Michael is a Board-Certified Dermatologist serving Chicago, Elmwood Park, Oak Park, River Forest, Norridge and Park Ridge and the surrounding areas. Dr. Michael received her medical degree from Rush Medical College, then completed her Internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and her Residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center. This was followed by a year of a combined Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology Fellowship. She started her Dermatology Residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and completed it at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. For her first year of practice, she was the sole Dermatologist in the city of Crowley, Louisiana. This experience fueled her growth as a knowledgeable and dedicated Dermatologist who dealt with every skin related condition in Crowley. After the birth of her twin children, her family moved back to Chicago. While establishing her new private practice in Chicago, Dr. Michael practiced Dermatology at Loyola Hospital. Her current practice has been serving the area since 2001. Her compassion and experience translate into her dedicated care for patients of all ages. The skin conditions she treats with Laser are Acne, Rosacea, and Pigmented disorders. She also treats Psoriasis and Vitiligo with the XTrac Laser and other modalities. In treating patients with precancerous moles, ""Dysplastic nevi"", she does skin cancer evaluations for Basal Cell and Squamous Cell cancers and Melanoma. She utilizes surgical techniques such as biopsies, excisions, Cryosurgery, and electrocautery in her practice. Recently adopted, her practice now provides detoxifying intravenous injectables including Myers cocktail and IV glutathione for a healthy body. With the addition of an experienced aesthetician, Mareia, Dr. Michael enjoys a growing cosmetic practice offering Hydrafacial, Peels, Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport for wrinkles, as well as injectable fillers for cheeks, lips and nasolabial folds including Restylane, Radiesse, Juvederm, Sculptra, and Bellafill.
