About Barry Murphy, DDS
Dr. Murphy has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry since 1983. He received his dental degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Upon graduation Dr. Murphy received the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Certificate. In 2009 Dr. Murphy began volunteering as a clinical instructor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. There he is honored to work hands on with the dental students in the restorative clinic. It is very rewarding for Dr.Murphy to pass on his knowledge and experience to the students while watching them grow into fine confident dentists. Dr. Murphy also travels to Haiti to provide dental for children and has given his services to the House of Ruth. In Towson Dr. Murphy has been in private practice providing his highest quality of dental care since 1987. Dr. Murphy goes above and beyond what is required through continuing education. He exceeds the requirements by attending seminars on a regular basis.Outside of dentistry Dr. Murphy enjoys spending time on his boat, playing tennis, photography, and an occasional motorcycle ride. Throughout his life he has always had a passion for sailing and being on the water. That passion has led him to getting his very own Grady White fishing boat. He loves the water so much that in the past he has even taken up scuba diving. Dr. Murphy has two sons and two daughters who now are all married. His family is growing with four grandchildren. He is very proud of his family and cherishes the time he spends with them.
