About Babak Djifroudi, DDS
Dr. Babak Djifroudi is a lifelong Sacramento area resident. Having grown up in Davis, he decided to stay in Davis to study biochemistry at UC Davis and graduated with highest honors there in 1992 with a B.S. in biochemistry. He next attended the prestigious UC San Francisco School of Dentistry as one of four Regent Scholars, and he graduated from UCSF in the top ten of his class in 1996. Missing his “home”, Dr. Djifroudi moved back to Sacramento right after graduation and associated in private practice before establishing Foothill Smile Designs in Folsom in 1999. Dr. Djifroudi is very passionate about dental technology and how it makes dentistry more efficient and painless for his patients. He is proud that Foothill Smile Designs was among the first three dental offices in Folsom to acquire the dual function Waterlase laser in the early 2000’s, and was also an early adapter of CEREC cad cam technology. As such, he has placed thousands of laser-assisted fillings with no anesthetic and single visit all porcelain crowns with no temporaries. To keep him further abreast of the latest developments in dentistry, Dr. Djifroudi devotes hundreds of hours each year to continuing education courses. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Bob enjoys experiencing the many beautiful outdoor activities available in Northern California with his wife and two children.
