About Arpan N. Patel, DMD
Dr. Patel made the decision at a very young age that he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and become doctor of medicine in dentistry. He can even recall back to the age of seven, walking around his father’s practice, constructing and playing around with all the dental models. This love for dentistry stuck with him all throughout his teenage years and into college. Prior to attending dental school, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Biology from The University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Not long after graduation, is when he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and attend the same graduate school at The University of Pennsylvania. There he gained extensive knowledge in multiple fields of dentistry including cosmetic, restorative, and surgical. In 2000 he completed UPenn’s Dental Medicine Program and became a doctor of medicine in dentistry. After graduation, he joined his father’s successful practice almost immediately and was mentored by him. This mentoring in highly specialized care immediately put Dr. Patel five to seven years ahead of his peers. In his first month of working with his father, he learned how to perform full-mouth rehabilitations, something newly trained dentists are usually not too keen on. His extensive knowledge in the field does not end there. In 2008 he embarked on a special, educational journey by taking an extensive course in dental implantology. Before taking this course, he would typically recommend dental bridges and partial dentures to his patients in need of some restoration. Now, through specializing in dental implantology, he can provide his patients with a better-quality tooth that will last a lifetime. His practice emphasizes on providing patients comfort and bringing them satisfaction. He best employs this by keeping up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry. This is a point that his late father stressed should be done and something that he continues to honor.“My patients mean everything to me; I am proud to provide them with the best treatment in the area by utilizing the latest dental technology.” – Dr. Arpan Patel In his spare time Dr. Patel enjoys golfing, watching football, and spending time with his two young boys and beautiful wife. He is a life-long, die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan and bleeds green through and through. Aside from his obsession with dentistry, some other things that bring him joy are include swimming, soccer, and coaching his boys in flag football.
