About Angel L. Velazquez, DMD
Dr. Velazquez graduated cum laude with a Bachelor Degree in Biology in 1995 from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. In 1999, he obtained his cum laude Dental Medical Doctor degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry, where obtained honor awards and scholarships and graduated in the top five percent of his class. In 1999, Dr. Velazquez continued a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center. After finishing his residency, Dr. Velazquez practiced as an associate in several offices in the Miami-Dade area before starting his own practice in Coral Gables in 2000. Dr. Velazquez completed over 100 hours of continuing education in dental implant surgery at the Robert Morgan School and in 2004 completed 144 hours at the Miami Implant Dentistry Continuum, perfecting the specialty of Surgical Implant Placement.
