About Andrew Coundouriotis, MD

Andrew Coundouriotis, M.D., F.A.C.S., has devoted a long and successful career to the practice of facial plastic and cosmetic surgery. He specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face, nose, and neck including facelifts, browlifts, eyelid surgery, neck lifts, neck contouring, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, and laser procedures. He is a double board certified Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Laser Surgeon (American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; American Board of Otolaryngology) who has practiced in St. Petersburg for over twenty years. Dr. Coundouriotis graduated Suma Cum Laude from Duke University and was invited into Phi Beta Kappa. Then graduating with honors, he earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. After medical school, he was accepted into the Duke University Otolaryngology residency. Again he was honored by being selected for a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under the preceptorship of Dr. Ferdinand Becker in Vero Beach, Florida. This Fellowship program, accredited and overseen by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, was one of approximately 30 fellowships in the entire United States and devoted one full year to plastic surgery of the face and neck. When Dr. Coundouriotis completed his training in 1993, he became one of a select group of surgical specialists in the country equipped with this special surgical background. Over the years Dr. Coundouriotis has continued and refined his training and expertise in the highly specialized surgery of the face. He has devoted extended time and effort to complete additional board certifications in Laser Medicine and Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine. This allows him to more comprehensively address patients’ needs and concerns and to be a resource in their total health and well-being. He is dedicated to his patients, respected as an expert by his colleagues, and gratified to be a surgeon. In January 2012, Dr. Coundouriotis reached another milestone by opening his new state of the art facility in St. Petersburg, Florida. This AAAHC accredited private facility allows Dr. C to keep his practice both patient focused and personal and to enhance his philosophy of excellence in patient care and attention to detail.
