About Alexander A. Galvan, DMD
Dr. Galvan’s motto Sparkle Your Smile means more than shiny white teeth. He offers sparkling smiles with healthy teeth and gums to all his patients! Healthy mouths mean healthy bodies too. Dr. Galvan has been serving the Inland Empire since 1998 in his practice of General, Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Galvan is from a third generation family of dentists. He received his degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of the Philippines with top honors in 1996. After hurdling his home country’s board examinations and ranking first among thousands of examinees, Dr. Galvan embarked on a career in the United States. He completed a battery of national and state examinations in just a year and obtained his dental license in California in 1998. In his unwavering desire to better his knowledge and skills, Dr. Galvan was trained at the top U.S. educational centers and has completed extensive post-graduate courses in Orthodontics, Cosmetic, Restorative and Implant Dentistry. He finished a 2-year residency on Comprehensive Esthetics and Advanced Fixed Prosthodontics at the prestigious Esthetic Professionals Dental Education Center in Tarzana, CA; and Implant Surgical Training at Apsun Dental Implant Center in Cerritos, CA. He is a certified provider for Invisalign, Clearcorrect and Powerprox Six Month Braces; and also received Diode Laser Certification from the International Center for Laser Education. Dr. Galvan is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). FAGD is a prestigious symbol of dentistry's continuous journey towards improvement and progress, and embody the Academy's goal of improving quality of care through lifelong learning. He is the first practising dentist in Ontario and Rialto to have achieved FAGD status, and has joined the ranks of committed dentists that comprise less than 5% of dentists in North America. Dr. Galvan received his fellowship award in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) on April 2016 in Barcelona, Spain. This is a recognition of Dr. Galvan for having satisfactorily completing the requirements set by the Board, and for demonstrating exceptional interest in the advancement of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Galvan constantly participate in continuing education programs and hands-on courses. After working for a private practice in Chino, CA for six years, Dr. Galvan opened his modern dental office in Ontario in 2004. Later, the practice expanded and opened its North Rialto location in 2013. He is also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Tri-County Dental Society, California & American Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Galvan is married to Rose Galvan, RN, who is the Practice Administrator. They have three beautiful children - Andrea, Andrew and Abigail, and both serve in Couples for Christ, a Catholic-Christian evangelistic ministry.
