About Albert C. Yan, MD
Pediatric dermatologist Albert Yan, MD, FAAP, FAAD, enjoys working with children and families every day. I find it gratifying to be able to translate what I see on the skin into a diagnosis that allows me to provide appropriate treatments, whether that involves reassurance, topical remedies, oral therapies, or surgical and laser procedures, he explains. Dr. Yan sees the field of pediatric dermatology as constantly evolving and uncovering new, better treatment options for patients. We continue to see improvements in how we understand why diseases occur and how best to treat them, he explains. His research focuses on evaluating new drugs for children in clinical trials. He also researches vascular anomalies, genetic skin diseases, and technological innovations for delivering dermatologic care.
