About Albert A. Coombs, DMD
Dr. Albert Coombs III received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2011 and is licensed in the District of Columbia and Maryland. He is a Diplomate with the International Dental Implant Association(IDIA) performing more than 320 Implant CE hours and placed over 1000 implant procedures both: in practice and in continuum education programs. Dr. Coombs moved to the DMV area in 2011 and began working in private practices in Temple Hills, Maryland and Washington DC. Following his passion for serving underserved patient populations, he developed and co-founded Smile Services with Dr. Granger. Smile services is a community outreach program that focused on oral health education in underserved populations throughout Washington D.C. Since 2012, this program has done more than 2000 free patient exams, taught a variety of classes from oral cancer education to career mentorship, and has donated dental supplies to elementary schools, churches and homeless shelters throughout the region. In 2015, Dr. Coombs and Dr.Granger opened up a Private Practice, Smile Services DC, where they continue to provide quality care to the Washington DC area. Dr. Coombs is an Executive Board Member of the Robert T. Freeman Dental Society and enjoys spending time with his family when he isn’t doing dentistry.
