About Adriana D. Pilar Clark, DDS
Dr. Adriana Clark leads a special dental office conveniently located in San Jose’s Willow Glen neighborhood. Born in Colombia, Dr. Clark received her doctor of dental surgery degree in 1989 from the National University of Colombia— one of the best dental programs in the nation. Dr. Clark received her undergraduate education with medical doctors in clinics that cared for the underserved population. After graduating from dental school, one of her best experience was to complete a one year hospital residency at a remote town close to the Amazon. This was the first contact that many of her patients ever had with a dentist in their lives. The physicians and dentists in this setting worked as an integrated health care team and Dr. Clark assisted them in surgeries and comprehensive medical treatments, even beyond oral-facial surgeries. Afterworking in her private practice for many years, she moved to the USA in 1999. In 2006 Dr. Clark had the opportunity to work on a research project with UCSF School of Dentistry, which was focused on early pediatric dental care. She continued working in public health at the San Jose Job Corps facility in San Jose until opened her practice in 2009.
